Fall Retreat at University of St. Mary’s of the Lake

9 a.m.-3 p.m.

God might be a mighty wind in your life or God might be a gentle breeze. Come explore the space where curiosity and passion meet.

We'll spend the morning at the Conference Center at University of St. Mary of the Lake in Mundelein exploring the theme through prayer and discussion, led by Rev. Amy Heinrich, and yoga, led by Heather's Gym founder Heather Fahrenkrog. We will end the morning with a contemplative walk through the beautiful campus. We will break for lunch and then reconvene in the Conference Center for a spiritual vision board workshop and closing prayer.

A buffet lunch will be served at 12:30 p.m.. Coffee, tea and other beverages will be available throughout the day. Dress in casual, comfortable clothing for yoga and walking outside. Please bring a yoga mat and a water bottle.
There is a dress code on campus, so the Conference Center requests that guests wear a jacket, sweater or sweatshirt over any exercise clothing during lunch and  while walking through campus.

A Day at Royal Oak Farm Orchard

Experience the best of fall at the lovely Royal Oak Farm Orchard, located on 120 acres in Harvard, Illinois, near the Wisconsin border. They have over 17,000 trees with over 30 varieties from which to pick. The farm also grows pumpkins, gourds, and winter squash and features the country's first apple tree maze. We plan to have lunch in their Country Kitchen Restaurant. And we'll stop by their bakery for their famous fresh apple cider donuts as well as visit their gift shop and fudge shop -- not to be missed!

Tour of the Halim Time and Glass Museum in Evanston

Following lunch in Evanston, our group will make its way to the Halim Time and Glass Museum, a fascinating museum with wonderful collections of stained glass, Tiffany creations and clocks from around the world. It houses over 1,100 clocks and time pieces, from the sundial to the quartz movement from all time periods. It also contains well over 70 stained glass masterpieces of art telling the story of the American School of Stained Glass. And the museum traces the creative life of L. C. Tiffany, a true American master. This place is a hidden gem!

Miniature Golf at Par King in Lincolnshire followed by lunch

Join us for 18 holes of miniature golf at a course where each of the holes has a different theme/design and is set up to make it fun and unique.  Many of the holes have machinery that automates different aspects to add into the fun. Holes are challenging with different routes, levels, water traps, etc., but not frustratingly difficult. A lot of walking is involved.

After enjoying this amazing place, we will have lunch at a nearby restaurant in the Lincolnshire area.
