We believe that a congregation is part of a wider communion of believers who profess Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. God calls us to be more than the sum of all our parts. By the power of the Holy Spirit we are given the high challenge of demonstrating the living body of Christ for the world today. We work for Christian unity and we grow in love with one another. We believe that a church is called to inspire by word and deed through its common life and the life of its members.

At First Presbyterian Church, we strive to create an environment that is inclusive, supportive, and nurturing. We believe in the power of faith, fellowship, and service, and we are dedicated to fostering spiritual growth and transformation in the lives of all who come through our doors.

Whether you are visiting for the first time or seeking a new church home, we want you to know that you are valued and cherished as a member of our extended family. Our church community is made up of individuals from diverse backgrounds and experiences, and we celebrate the unique gifts and perspectives that each person brings.

Join us for worship in the Sanctuary or Chapel at 10 a.m. on Sunday mornings.
Our worship services are also livestreamed on YouTube.

Our summer worship schedule runs through Labor Day. Instead of two services at 10 a.m. - contemporary in the chapel and traditional in the sanctuary - we have one service, generally in the sanctuary. The music is a blend of contemporary music and traditional hymns. Four times this summer we will gather in the chapel: July 7, July 21 (Bluegrass Sunday), August 4 and September 1.

We have two worship spaces at First Pres, where powerful spiritual and renewal is offered every week to the glory of God.

Our bright and beautiful Sanctuary is home to our creative and classic choir and organ.

10 a.m. Traditional Worship: Formal and inspiring service with Chancel choir, organ & traditional hymns; Communion on the 1st Sunday of each month.

Our warm and gracious Chapel is home to casual and contemporary worship.

10 a.m. Contemporary Worship: Informal and creative worship with contemporary music w/vocalists accompanied by drums, guitar, bass and piano; Communion on the 1st Sunday of each month.

Children are always learning, absorbing, and sorting what they've taken in. Our faith formation programs are designed to offer them foundations of faith in ways that invite questions and make connections as they create and build their relationships with God and one another. To help bring their faith beyond the walls of the church, we offer a variety of ways for families to incorporate discussions on faith into their daily lives. Explore all of our Kids Programs.

Our youth programs are shaped to walk with 6th-12th grade students as they grow, learn, and connect in community with one another, with our larger church community, with the world, and with God. Learn more about our Youth programs

Next Steps: Becoming a Member

If you've been visiting us and are interested in taking the next step and becoming a member, we invite you to attend one of our quarterly Inquirers Classes, which are led by our pastors and staff. You'll get to know other prospective new members, find out how you can get more involved, and learn what is distinctive about our Reformed heritage and our church governance.

Our Inquirers Classes are designed for those who are seriously considering joining the church as active members, those who need a refresher course, and those who are searching and discovering God's leading in their lives. If at the end of the inquiring process you want to become an active member, there are simply two requirements-professing Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior and baptism. We recognize all Christian baptisms. However, if you haven't been baptized, a baptism date will be scheduled during a Sunday morning worship service.

We joyfully embrace the transformative love of Christ, fostering connections that transcend barriers.
We are a community of hope and discipleship that strives to celebrate and empower every person to flourish in the light of God's love.
