FAITH FORMATION FOR KIDS

Kids are always learning, absorbing, and sorting what they've taken in. Our faith formation programs are designed to offer them foundations of faith in ways that invite questions and make connections as they create and build their relationships with God and one another. To help bring their faith beyond the walls of the church, we offer a variety of ways for families to incorporate discussions on faith into their daily lives.

Follow Me (Pre-K - Adult)

This all-ages Sunday School experience happens from 9 a.m. – 9:45 a.m. on Sunday mornings in Fellowship Hall. The first week of each unit of the Follow Me curriculum will be entirely all ages and subsequent weeks in a unit will include time to break out into age groups by Pre-K, lower elementary, upper elementary, and adults with middle schoolers and high schoolers.* While there are themes for about 4 weeks, each week is something new so drop in for one or all!

Coming This Fall!

Third Grade Bible Presentation

Families of third graders are invited tosign up their children here to receive a third grade Bible in the sanctuary on Sunday, November 13, and then stay after worship for an "How to Read Your Bible" luncheon for kids and their families.

Intro to Worship

We're planning a brief program to help first graders (and those who may have missed this intro during the earlier pandemic years) learn about the basics of worship. From liturgical colors to "How does communion even work?" we'll cover the basics in what worship is all about. Interested in learning more as details develop? Sign up here for updates.

Once a quarter we'll gather first through third graders for a social event to help them build community and make church friends. If you would be interested in your young one attending, please help us figure out the best times to do this by completing this brief survey.

Once a quarter we'll help fourth and fifth graders begin to get into the regular rhythm of fellowship together in preparation for moving up to JHF and eventually SHF. If you would be interested in your upper elementary student being part of this, please help us figure out the best times to do this by completing this brief survey.

Youth Discipleship Group

Kim Mendoza will be leading a group for youth to take time to intentionally be with one another and explore various spiritual practices. Any interested youth are invited to take this poll to help us find the best time to do this.

CALLING ALL KIDS!

A message from Jane Orth, Music Director:

You're a "kid" if you're in kindergarten through 12th grade, and if you are, you're invited to come and make music with one of our children's or youth choirs! We invite you to come and see how making music sounds good, makes you feel good, gives you a feeling of success, and makes lots of other people happy!

Come and find out what it's all about!

Our Jr./Sr. High Choir starts Sunday, Sept. 18 right after worship in the Sanctuary. Come have a donut and check it out! Our Joyful Noise, Cherub and Faith Choirs start on Thursday, Sept. 29

We also provide childcare at many other church events during the week. For more information, read about our policies and guidelines for our infant and toddler rooms.
