Saturday, Feb. 29: A Moment of Peace: Do you struggle to make time for prayer? Are you interested in learning new ways to pray? Join us at 9 a.m. in the Chapel  for a series of “micro” prayer sessions. We will introduce you to a new prayer practice, lead you through it together, and then give you some guidance for how you can use that prayer practice on your own throughout the next week. We will learn practices such as centering prayer, lectio divina, the examen, prayer journaling, and taize. Sign up  for updates and prayer resources.

Sunday, March 1: Introduction to Lent: Growing in Faith Together: an Omni-Generational Experience. Join us from  9-9:45 a.m. before worship in the Conference Room. This is the first in a series of omni-generational workshops  designed to engage kids and adults of all ages in interactive learning about the central ideas and practices of our faith. We will learn together in small groups by visiting interactive stations that help us learn together. Sign up today!


Sunday, March 8:  Caregiver Support Group will meet on Sunday, March 8 and March 22  from 11:15 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in Room 202 in the Faith Formation wing. Anyone caring for someone with a chronic illness (Alzheimer's/Dementia, COPD, Arthritis, Opioid Addiction, Cancer, etc.) is invited to attend. Saturday, April  18: Men of the Church Service Day. Fellowship breakfast at the Liberty Restaurant 7:30-8:45 p.m. Travel to Lake Bluff for 9 a.m.-12 p.m. service; Optional fellowship lunch Panera Restaurant in Lake Bluff from 12-1p.m.


VBS: Save the date for VBS at First Pres Libertyville and get ready for a fun start to the summer! Registration open soon! VBS will run June 22 – 25 from 1 - 4 p.m. for preschool (must be turning 4 by September 1) through 8th grade. On Friday, June 26, we will have a special family dinner and evening program. New this year! Rising 6th – 8th graders will be part of a special program, “Mission Possible,” a four day exploration of mission in Lake County. Stay tuned for more details!

Once you set up a recurring gift, you can literally "set it and forget it!"  Your secure donation can be made via electronic check or debit/credit card. More information is available here or by calling the church office at 847-362-2174. Important: For those who increased their pledge total in 2020 vs. 2019, thank you! Please remember to reflect this change to your online account. 

Per Capita is every member’s responsibility. Each year our church is required to pay a fee to the Chicago Presbytery to fund their operations along with the Lincoln Trails Synod and the General Assembly. This year’s fee is $36 per member, or approximately $40,000 for the entire congregation. Please remember to pay your per capita as soon as possible. Payment can be made online or via the special envelopes.


A reminder for all electronic givers. Did you remember to update your weekly/monthly online giving to reflect your new pledge for 2020? Please remember it needs to be updated each year. 2020 Flower Dedications

Consider signing up for a flower dedication! We have spots open throughout all of 2020. As you may or may not know, commemorative donations are our only source of revenue for our Sunday flowers. The flower chart is located in the church office. $40 per arrangement. Fill out a card when you sign up or you may email your request.
