Two Sundays a month on Zoom from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM
The First Presbyterian Church of Libertyville Caregivers Support Group provides information, encouragement and support to individuals who are caring for loved ones with Alzheimer’s/Dementia as well as any chronic illness requiring extensive care, i.e. COPD, stroke, cancer, opioid/alcohol related illnesses, accident/trauma, etc.
We meet on Sundays, twice a month on Zoom from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM and help our members care for themselves—and their loved ones—as they struggle with changing roles and responsibilities. We have open, honest, hard discussions and deal with all the emotions that come up—from frustration, anger, guilt and despair to joy, gratitude, delight and relief. And we learn from each other as we share the care-giving journey together. All conversations are held in strictest confidence.
We open and close with prayer—for understanding, for discernment, for right decision-making, for patience, for forgiveness and for a sense of humor.
We are non-judgmental.
We are accepting and supporting.
We are a safe place—and you are not alone.
