Current world events and actions of the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) have challenged our Session to give voice to a number of concerns. In Christian concern:
We continue to pray for peace in the Holy Land and throughout our war torn world.
We affirm the bonds of Christian fellowship that tie us to believers around the world.
We extend heart and hands as good neighbors to people and congregations of other faiths.
We grieve and apologize for the pain in the Jewish community caused by recent General Assembly actions.
In response to these concerns, the First Presbyterian Church of Libertyville resolves to take the following actions:
