What do Sunday School and Cows have in common? Our Sunday School lesson for this coming week is based on John 6: 1 – 14. In this story, Jesus, probably worn out and tired of being followed by so many people, does not send the people away. Instead he feeds them – all 5,000 of them! And who helped Jesus with this abundance? It was a child who shared the little he had.
Our donations for Sunday School this year are going to Heifer International. So far our children have made a big difference in the lives of two families by donating a sheep and a pig. They have chosen a heifer next. A heifer, which costs $500, can provide a family with nutritional needs as well as money for school. We are ¼ of the way there. Perhaps your child could help around the house and then donate some of their earnings to this project. They’ll feel capable and good about their accomplishment. Look for more information coming soon in our CE Hallway.
Today children age 2 – Kindergarten will attend Sunday School as usual. First grade and up will remain in the service. The children will carry on the life of the church someday. If one is near you, let them know you are happy they came to church today.
CHILD & YOUTH Sunday School Registration You can find forms by the Sunday School office on the first floor or download and print out CHILDREN or YOUTH . Drop off completed registration(s) during the week at the church office, give it to your child’s Sunday School teacher or print, fill out and scan back to Kristin Marsden. Registration is important for not only our records, but your child’s safety, so please help us out by completing the information for us. Thank you!
